Lynnfield Turns Out For A Highly Contested Vote

I want to thank the two thousand six hundred and seventy–five voters that came out to vote in Monday’s election. From what has been said, these numbers are comparable to the Town’s National Election turnout figures even though the Selectman race was the only contested race. Lynnfield Residents took interest in their community and cast their votes in the highly contested race which was narrowly won by Mr. Barrett with a 39 vote margin of 1.45%.

I would like to thank my campaign team and supporters for all of their efforts. We ran a clean campaign focused on the issues and topics important the people of Lynnfield and did not resort to negative advertising or tactics. I am, as we all should be, very proud of the campaign we ran.

I believe we have ignited a renewed and continuing interest in Lynnfield’s political process and given a “voice to the people”.   Lets continue this proactive interest to make sure we have the best community possible.

Thank you for being such an engaged and involved community.

All the best,

Katy Shea
